RISMEDIA 2008 POWER BROKER REPORT RELEASED

Rismedia`s Annual Power Broker Report & Survey, residential real estate industry`s most comprehensive report on the 700+ most successful brokerages in the United States, was released this past month, The report highlights the largest Real Estate Brokerage Firms nationally, ranked by units sold and gross dollar volume sales. The report highlighted information from 887 Brokerages across the country.

According to the report, the top Real Estate Brokers in the country experienced lower sales volume in both units, down over 432,000 units nationwide, and dollar volume, down more than $100 billion dollars. In 2007, Power Brokers were responsible for an average of 2,615 closings per year per company.

The overall consensus of the Real Estate Power Broker group was that the internet has been playing a much greater role in capturing sales volume than ever before, while signs of life continue to spring up in markets around the country.

According to Charles Blumenkehl, president of New Jersey based Blue Realty GMAC with local offices in northern New Jersey, named #25 on the 2008 Power Broker list of Companies to Watch in 2008, "We have been fortunate through this market transformation.
